South BaySafe Streets

South Bay Safe Streets (SBSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing impaired driving and improving safety in the South Bay. Founded in 2022, SBSS collaborated the Baja Sharkeez Group to create a comprehensive program that focuses on education, frequent reminders, and urban design to drive better choices. SBSS has achieved undeniable success, prompting us to seek expansion and garner support from businesses throughout the South Bay.

Our mission is to promote safe and responsible choices for locals and visitors alike. We strongly advocate for ride-sharing options when visiting the South Bay and encourage responsible e-bike operation. Hermosa Beach and the South Bay have zero tolerance for criminal offenders.
